Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk (I used light)
  • 1 package active dry yeast (Note 1)
  • 3 tbsp (packed) brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 2¼ cups + 2 tbsp plain flour (plus more if required)
  • 2 tbsp plain butter, softened
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup baking soda (bi-carb. NOT baking powder)

Pink Glaze
  • 4 cups powdered sugar / soft icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 to 6 tbsp milk (start with 4 tbsp)
  • Pink or red food colouring
